With a blend of haunting melodies and thought – provoking lyrics, the band takes listeners on a captivating journey through the complexities of our modern world.

Johnny Bob’s unique sound combines elements of classic progressive rock with a modern electronic twist, pushing the boundaries of musical experimentation. Each track on the EP showcases the band’s virtuosity and innovation, creating a sonic landscape that is both captivating, diverse and immersive.

A call to action on climate change

Through their music, Johnny Bob sheds light on the urgent issue of climate change, forcing listeners to reflect on the impact of human activity on the environment. The lyrics of singer Carsten Díaz paint a picture of a planet in crisis, challenging society to take responsibility and strive for a sustainable future.

Unveiling the shadows of Imperialism

In addition „Floodland I“ addresses the lingering effects of imperialism on global society. With poignant lyrics, the band confronts the injustices perpetuated by colonial powers and calls for a reevaluation of our collective history.

Floodland I – III: A trilogy

„Floodland I“ marks the inaugural chapter of the band’s planned EP trilogy. The minds behind this musical endeavor are once again siblings Jörg Purfürst,multi- instrumentalist
and producer, and vocalist Carsten Díaz. Alongside them perform congenial musicians Philip Mestwerdt (drums), Ole Schützler (keyboards), and Jürgen Ufer (guitar). In the song
„Outer Rim,“ drummer Michael Nick makes a guest appearance.

While their musical journey thus far has been characterized by nostalgic nods to their past works, including reimagined pieces from previous band projects, Johnny Bob has amassed an impressive discography comprising five albums and an ep. However, with the inception of the „Floodland“ trilogy, the band embarks on a daring new venture into uncharted musical territory with a collection of brand-new compositions. This departure from their established formula, which has been a hallmark of their creative output since their formation in 2017, signals a bold step towards evolution. By embracing a fresh perspective and focusing on originalmaterial, Johnny Bob sets its sights firmly on the
horizon.
