Tim McMillan has been performing his unique style of acoustic guitar based music for over a decade. Regularly touring, he has played concerts both solo and with his band throughout Australia, Japan, India, Latin America and Europe – where he is currently based.

In the past year he has performed alongside guitar legends Al Di Meola, Dominic Miller (Sting) and Kaki King, and has just recently received an endorsement from Cole Clark Guitars while completing a year long scholarship, as an artist in residence, in the city of Dachau.

With previous awards for his solo guitar work, including Maton Young Guitarist of the Year and Cole Clark & Ben Harper Guitar Awards, he now mixes his virtuosic playing with a more subdued approach to his performance and a stronger focus on songs and instrumental pieces for the band.

The many influences in both his music and performance style make the group very accessible for a wide audience. Tim & co. are becoming quite used to entertaining all kinds of audiences with their shows – filled with amusing anecdotes from the bush, athletic guitar stunts and ethereal concept folk. Attracting fans from every walk of life, the band delivers a truly unique musical experience.

Recent performances include Dresden’s Dreikönigs Church, CeBit Messe Hannover (where his collaboration with Ethno Tekh was performed at the opening ceremony to German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk), Munich Backstage festival (featuring Sepultura & Suicidal Tendencies), Australian events including Queenscliff Music Festival, the National Folk Festival, Rock the Bay, as well as a solo performance for the Tibetan Women’s Association in Manali, Northern India.

‘Wolves of Stünz’ is the fourth release from McMillan, a collaborative project featuring guest musicians from around the globe, creating what can best be described as “guitar based goblincore”, with influences ranging from acoustic Viking metal to progressive jazz and swamp folk. Do not miss the opportunity to witness one of Australia’s most unique musical exports live in concert
