MELANIE HORSNELL ON THE WEB: www.melaniehorsnell.com
After licensing her debut effort The Adventures Of to Rounder Records in Europe, and building an extensive fanbase in the process, Sydney based Singer/Songwriter Melanie Horsnell is ready to make waves on Australian shores.
Melanie has toured Europe extensively, headlining shows in The Netherlands and Paris and also ventured out to Singapore playing to a packed house at The Esplanade. The Adventures Of was a feature album on French national radio, after Melanie took time out to learn French and recorded a French version of the beatlesque I Just Want Some Love. Not bad for a young girl who started out her music career busking at Manly Beach aged 10.
Melanie has already garnered some local support, with Triple J playing some of her early work, Melanies real strength is in her charming live performances. Having played alongside the likes of Bernard Fanning, The Frames, Josh Pyke, & Andy Clockwise, Melanie Horsnell never fails to win over a crowd, often managing what few others can making a crowded pub shut up and listen.
Melanie has just released her new single “mary mary” from the album “complicated sweet heart”(available sept 6) and is on tour in australia with Jason Mraz.
